Goa Expansion • Prospective Wave 1

Open a TrimX in Goa

Goa is a small state and we plan it like one. Wave 1 is evaluating 3–4 priority locations across 15 prospective resident-catchment Goa catchments — Porvorim, Margao, Panjim, Mapusa — not the beach-belt tourist retail. Every indicative figure is confirmed only after site and commercial review.Indicative — pending confirmation

Planning figures are not guarantees or an offer. TrimX is not yet operating in Goa. Final investment, timing, territory, projected sales and lease terms are documented in the current franchise pack and agreement.

Backed by TrimX’s operating network of 28 salons across Telangana and Karnataka (23 company-owned & run). Operating exclusively under the FOCO model (Franchise-Owned, Company-Operated) — you own the physical salon, while TrimX manages staffing, academy training, day-to-day operations and marketing end-to-end, sharing store revenue directly with you. A Goa regional ops lead is to be appointed on the first Wave 1 commit.

Execution Roadmap

Wave 1: First 3–4 Goa Outlets

Goa has roughly 3M residents and half of them live in 5–6 towns. The honest Wave 1 is 3–4 outlets, not 10 — one in each of the strongest resident catchments in North and South Goa. Allocation remains subject to catchment, site, commercial and agreement approval:

Corridor #11 Outlet

Alto Porvorim

North Goa residential anchor on NH-66. Densifying apartment catchment with young IT-services workforce.

Corridor #21 Outlet

Fatorda (Margao)

South Goa residential anchor. Reliable mass-grooming catchment at low occupancy cost.

Corridor #31 Outlet

18th June Road / Miramar (Panjim)

Capital-city flagship catchment, premium at the lower rent band only.

Corridor #41 Outlet

Mapusa Market Area

North Goa secondary-anchor. Reliable mass-market catchment feeding into the beach belt.

Disciplined Unit Economics

How TrimX Screens Goa Store Economics

The planning framework screens footprint, catchment, access and rent assumptions before a site is considered for approval. Goa’s tourism seasonality and salt-air exposure change the scorecard weightings without changing the fundamental compact-format logic. The framework reduces avoidable location risk but does not guarantee commercial performance.

Site Selection Framework

The Resident-Catchment Strategy — in Goa

Goa is small and tempting to a brochure writer: beach-belt frontages read premium. We ignore them. TrimX searches resident apartment clusters within a 500m walk — the Konkani-speaking male customer who comes back every two to three weeks is the base, not the tourist who comes once:

8–15

Societies / Apartments Per Outlet

The screening model looks for 8–15 residential societies within roughly 500m — Goa’s apartment density is lower than mainland metros, so the compact format relies on strong repeat frequency, not footfall volume. Indicative — pending confirmation

300–400

Sq. Ft Ground Floor

Compact, zero-wastage footprint. Requires ground-floor position, direct visibility from resident traffic, monsoon-safe frontage, salt-air-resistant hardware and hassle-free two-wheeler parking.

14–21 Indicative — pending confirmation

Day Repeat Cycle

A resident grooming utility, not a tourist retail impulse. The economics of a 4-chair shop in Goa only works on repeat residents, which is why the Wave 1 anchors are Porvorim, Fatorda, Panjim and Mapusa — not the beach belt.

Rent Screening

The 8–10% Rent-Screening Benchmark — Goa

TrimX currently screens asking rent against 8–10% of an indicative conservative-sales assumption. In Goa the screen is applied on an annualised basis — a peak-season rent slip that averages 11–14% over the year does not clear the benchmark. This is a planning benchmark, not a performance guarantee, and every site still requires commercial approval.

Data-Driven Evaluation

The 8-Point Property Scorecard

Every candidate site proposed by a franchise partner or sourced by our real estate desk is graded against our weighted scorecard before lease execution. Goa adds an explicit resident-vs-tourist demand-mix check — a Wave 1 anchor must be majority resident, not seasonal.

Location Risk Review

Goa Corridors We Avoid in Wave 1 (And Why)

The current model deprioritises tourist-driven, arterial and leisure corridors where rent and access do not fit a compact resident-catchment salon. Each site is still reviewed on its own evidence:

✕

Baga, Calangute, Anjuna beach frontage

Tourist retail with seasonal cliffs. Peak-season rents rarely clear the 8–10% screen when annualised.

✕

NH-66 arterial frontage

Vehicle-speed arterials do not create pedestrian walk-ins; feeder lanes behind them do.

✕

Panjim riverfront (Dayanand Bandodkar Marg)

Leisure frontage rent slip without the resident-grooming repeat cycle.

✕

Malls & large commercial complexes

CAM, revenue-share clauses, paid parking and restricted hours erode compact-format economics.

✕

Hinterland tier-4 towns (Canacona, Pernem interior)

Catchment density is too thin to sustain a 4-chair format at any rent. Reviewed only post-Wave 2.

Our Franchise Model: FOCO (Franchise-Owned, Company-Operated)

Franchise-Owned Asset

You own the salon asset, styling stations and local property lease. The compact four-chair format, commercial responsibilities, risks and final terms are set out in the current franchise pack and signed agreement.

Your Role: 100% asset owner and strategic local partner with complete ownership of equipment and setup.

Company-Operated Floor

TrimX manages the salon end to end. We recruit, academy-train, and deploy stylists, handle daily floor operations, run centralized billing & POS, and execute hyper-local marketing, sharing monthly store revenue with you.

Our Role: TrimX headquarters runs daily operations, stylist recruitment, training, POS, and local demand generation. A Goa regional ops lead is appointed on first Wave 1 commit.

Turnkey Speed

Target 30-day rollout after approvals

The current plan targets 30 days after agreement, site approval and property takeover. Contractor availability, monsoon exposure, salt-air prep, statutory approvals and site conditions can change the timing:

Days 1–7
Week 1 — Property Takeover & Agreement Sign-off

Property possession handover, catchment validation, landlord agreement review with 8–10% rent ceiling enforcement (annualised against seasonality), and signing of the FOCO franchise agreement.

Days 8–15
Week 2 — Modular Fit-out Execution

Standardised turnkey architecture executed by certified contractors: mirrors, electrical lines, water drainage, flooring, and 4 ergonomic styling chairs. Monsoon-ready sealing and salt-air-resistant hardware specified for coastal Goa sites.

Days 16–23
Week 3 — Kiosk, POS & Tech Integration

Installation of self-service check-in kiosk, centralized billing POS, brand signage, and initial inventory of disposable grooming products and consumables.

Days 24–30
Week 4 — Academy Stylists & Launch Marketing

Deployment of vetted stylists trained at the TrimX Academy (regional ops lead to be appointed on Wave 1 commit), hyper-local apartment society marketing, WhatsApp booking line activation, and doors open.

Catchment Review

Request a Goa Catchment Review

Catchments are prospective until the site, commercial terms and partner application are approved. Whether you already have a 300–400 sq.ft commercial property or want help evaluating one, submit your details for the current pack and review process.

01

Initial Fit Check: We review your background, investment readiness and selected catchment. Goa is a prospective state so response times may be longer than operating-state queues.

02

Site Audit: If you have a space, our expansion manager runs our 8-point scorecard and checks the rent against our 8–10% annualised ceiling.

03

Target Rollout: After approvals and agreement, mobilise fit-out, staffing and local launch preparation. Timing remains site-dependent.

Goa Franchise Questions

How many TrimX franchise salons are planned for Goa?
Goa is a prospective FY27+ expansion state. The current Wave 1 plan evaluates 3–4 outlets across Porvorim, Panjim, Margao and Mapusa. The page maps 15 prospective catchments; none is a confirmed or exclusive territory until site, commercial and agreement approvals are complete. Goa is a small state and we deliberately do not plan the same outlet count as metros.
What is the turnkey investment required to open in Goa?
The current planning estimate is ₹20L for a 300–400 sq.ft, 4-chair neighbourhood salon format. It is indicative, not a quote or guaranteed total. The current franchise pack confirms the included scope and commercial terms before agreement.
Is TrimX already operating in Goa?
Not yet. TrimX currently operates in Telangana and Karnataka. Goa is a prospective expansion state. The regional ops lead and academy capacity are to be stood up on the first Wave 1 commit.
Does TrimX franchise in the beach / tourist belt (Candolim, Calangute, Baga)?
Those catchments are classified Tier 4 — selective, later waves. Tourist-driven rents rarely clear our 8–10% annualised screen because of seasonal demand swings. Our Wave 1 focus is on resident-catchment anchors (Porvorim, Fatorda, Panjim, Mapusa).
How fast can a Goa salon open after site approval?
The current rollout target is 30 days after agreement sign-off, site approval and property handover. Actual timing can vary with site conditions, monsoon exposure, contractors and statutory approvals.
Can I invest if I don’t want to run daily salon operations?
Yes. Under the FOCO model (Franchise-Owned, Company-Operated), you fund the setup and retain store ownership, while TrimX manages stylist staffing, academy training, daily operations, customer experience, and POS audits, sharing store revenue directly with you.
What if I already own a commercial property in Goa?
If you have a 300–400 sq.ft ground-floor commercial space in or near one of the mapped catchments, submit the property details for review. The expansion team will assess the site, access, rent and commercial fit; response times depend on the active review queue.
